If you didn't know these were cover tunes, they could have passed as a new tesla cd. Tesla did not just rip these songs off to make quick cash, they actually took the time to learn them and do a decent job. It flat out rocks. One of the best songs done during these sessions on a bonus CD from a major retailer is War Pigs, just an excellent rendition, great guitar resonance, and timing. Done only as tesla could have. Other good tracks are Space Trucking, Honky Tonk Women, and Ball of Confusion.
Tesla is clever. They released this and then have a limited edition CD available only on tour as real to reel two. Not only was I going to see them if they came through town, Now I will have to spend money to complete the set. This is well worth picking up, solid work through and through.
