Lola receives a phone call from her boyfriend Manny. He lost 100,000 DM in a subway train that belongs to a very bad guy. Lola has 20 min to raise this amount and meet Manny. Otherwise, he will rob a store to get the money. Three different alternatives may happen depending on some minor event along Lola's run.

A lesbian themed twist on Tom Tykwer’s frenetic indie speedball RUN LOLA RUN, co directors Ellen Seidler and Megan Sidler’s sexy romantic comedy follows skilled but perpetually tardy photographer Lola (Ashleigh Sumner) as she races through the streets of San Francisco to make an important meeting. With her career and her relationship hanging in the balance, Lola switches into high gear and speeds toward her destination.

Faith is a young woman who is on the run from an abusive boyfriend, and who settles in Atlanta to make a new life for herself. While settling down, Faith meets Lola, a free spirited young woman like herself whom lives on a nearby rural farm with her creepy family - her barren father, older brother, and younger brother. Faith moves in with Lola, who resides in the nearby barn on the farm, to help out with farm work.

When the teenager Mary Elizabeth Steppe, a.k.a. Lola, moves with her mother and two younger twin sisters from New York to the suburb of Dellwood, New Jersey, she has the feeling that her cultural and entertaining world ended. While in school, the displaced Lola becomes close friend of the unpopular Ella, who is also a great fan of the her favorite rock band Sidarthur. However, the most popular girl in the school, Carla Santini, disputes the lead role in an adaptation of Pygmalion with Lola and also the leadership of their mates. When the last concert of Sidarthur is sold out, Lola plans with Ella to travel to New York and buy the tickets from scalpers. However, the girls get into trouble while helping the lead singer and Lolas idol Stu Wolf, changing their lives forever.

In Vera Cruz in the 1940s, Nacho, an Indian, waits tables at Don Lázaro's café at Hotel Ofélia. He falls for Lola, an opium-addicted, alcoholic whore who's hopelessly in love with Gardenia Wilson, a masked wrestler who slept with her once but knows she's unbalanced. Don Lázaro warns Nacho about Lola, and Nacho knows his love will be unrequited, but he'll do anything, regardless of how degrading, to be near her. Lola, for her part, can be sadistic. Republican exiles who are regulars at the café encourage Lola's desire to assassinate Franco. Nacho in turn mixes this political mirage with his fascination with the plot of "The Mikado."
